Tonho is a decent fellow whose dream has ended in cleaning subway toilets and sleeping in a storage warehouse on the outskirts of town. His efforts to obtain a decent living have failed and he’s terrified of being shipped back to his country as a failure. His flat mate Paco is very aggressive towards him and humiliates him all the time. Although he is in the same ordeal, Paco claims to be in a better situation and agitates Tonho by calling him a softie and telling him to go back to his mother’s embrace. While these two human beings are unable to communicate with each other on the human level, they are also unable to relate to the outside world. This is a stimulating, thought provoking fast paced one act play that deals with quite topical themes such as immigration, displacement and subsequent catastrophe that follows.
